Closer to the customer – PTW Benelux ready to serve customers in Norway

Freiburg (GER)/Capelle aan den IJssel (NL), September 1, 2022 - The dosimetry specialist PTW Freiburg GmbH (PTW) will serve customers in Norway directly through its branch office PTW Benelux to better address the growing needs of the Norwegian radiotherapy market. Operations will officially start on September 1, 2022.

With an experienced team of sales and service experts on hand to assist, PTW customers in Norway will benefit from direct lines of communication and excellent customer support and service.

“Cancer treatment centers in Norway are known for their high level of medical physics standards and constant pursuit to improve the quality of patient care. The increasing radiotherapy capacity in the region offers new opportunities for PTW. The geographical location, the ability to provide the necessary level of service and support, as well as personal experience of PTW Benelux team members with Norwegian radiotherapy centers make it a logical step for PTW to expand its activities in Norway,” says Tobias Schüle, managing director of PTW Freiburg.

PTW Benelux, located close to Rotterdam, is headed by Iaroslav Smychliaev, co-founder and managing director of the radiation oncology software specialist Fratoria BV, which was acquired by PTW in 2016. Sales operations will be managed by Nadine Mertens, who has profound experience in medical physics and extensive product knowledge.

An eleven-person-strong team, including medical physicists, service specialists and experienced software engineers, will take care of customer training, support and installation for the full range of PTW dosimetry technologies.

PTW also thanks its outgoing distributor ScanRad Protection AS for their continued support over the past years and wishes them all the best for their future business.
