The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust radiotherapy service currently operates from Cookridge Hospital, it is due to move to a purpose built site in 2008. The new wing will have 10 Elekta linacs, including 2 Synergy IGRT units.
The radiotherapy physics department acts as a reference site for PTW dosimetry applications; providing advice on product development and market trends, and hosting demonstrations for the latest PTW equipment.
The department has expertise in dosimetry, quality assurance, phantom development, radiotherapy networking and image guided radiotherapy.
