PTW as a founding member
of the Freiburg Climate Pact
At PTW, sustainability-related topics are integrated into our business processes and management systems. Our activities include an EMAS-validated environmental management system, the use of certified renewable electricity at several PTW locations, photovoltaic systems, and measures that support lower-emission mobility. We are also working to better understand and reduce greenhouse gas emissions within our value chain. PTW has established the objective of reducing its market-based Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 75% by 2030 compared to the 2023 baseline and had already achieved a 37% reduction by the end of 2025.
As a founding member of the Freiburg Climate Pact, PTW collaborates with other organizations, institutions, and companies in Freiburg that support the city's objective of becoming greenhouse gas neutral by 2035.
The Freiburg Climate Pact is a collaborative initiative that brings together stakeholders to exchange experiences, share knowledge, and discuss climate-related measures and developments. Through participation in this network, PTW benefits from access to information, expert exchange, specialist events, and funding and consulting opportunities related to climate protection and sustainability.
Participation in the Freiburg Climate Pact complements PTW's broader environmental management activities and provides opportunities for collaboration with organizations facing similar challenges and objectives.
Together with the City of Freiburg and other pact members, PTW supports initiatives and discussions related to climate protection and the transition towards a lower-emission future.
