Beamscan works very well on the Halcyon™ accelerator according to Marcello Sabatino, medical physicist at the Radiologische Allianz Hamburg.

The new design of this treatment system presents medical physicists with special challenges for beam commissioning and QA measurements, since the measuring technology must be placed inside the ring gantry. After the launch of the new Halcyon™ system, PTW reacted immediately and modified their Beamscan water phantom to meet these special requirements. The practical modifications and automated procedures make the handling of the water phantom easy and save time in everyday work: Beamscan is set up in the Halcyon™ system in just 20 minutes.
