PTW Africa Dosimetry Academy Reaches Major Milestone

Between 2024 and 2026, the PTW Africa Dosimetry Academy (ADA) successfully delivered 8 specialized training courses across Africa, including 6 onsite courses and 2 remote courses. The program attracted more than 200 medical physicists from 27 institutions across Egypt and other African countries.

PTW Africa Dosimetry Academy Delivers Comprehensive Clinical Training

Hands-on and theoretical training in key areas of radiotherapy quality assurance and dosimetry, including: Relative & Absolute Dosimetry using BEAMSCAN, TANGO, and PTW detectors. Quality Assurance of Therapeutic Machines (LINACs) with RUBY, QRM, NOMEX, and Track-it. Small Field Dosimetry utilizing advanced small-field detectors. Patient-Specific Quality Assurance (PSQA) using OCTAVIUS 4D and VERIQA.
